Night Qualification

If you thought flying in the daytime was spectacular, you should try it at night. It is a totally different experience and you cannot beat watching the sun disappear over the horizon whilst airborne.

Applicants for a night qualification must meet certain criteria based on hours; more information about this can be found on the CAA website. The night qualification consists of 5 hours’ theoretical knowledge instruction followed by 10 hours’ dual instrument instruction. A further 5 hours’ night training includes 3 hours’ dual and 5 solo night circuits.

The entire night qualification must be completed within a 6 month period and at the moment is conducted on our Schweizer 300CBi helicopter.
